FAQs
Common questions.
When is the best time to lay turf in Dorset?+
Autumn (September–November) and spring (March–May) are ideal — soil is warm and moist so roots establish quickly. We lay year-round except in hard frost.
How long before I can walk on a new lawn?+
Light foot traffic after 2–3 weeks, full use after about 6 weeks. We give you a clear aftercare sheet on completion.
Can you lay turf over an existing lawn?+
No — old turf and weeds should be stripped out so the new turf roots into clean, levelled soil. We include that in our quote.
How often will I need to water it?+
Daily for the first 2–3 weeks in warm weather, tapering off as roots establish. We'll talk you through it on the day.
Do you cover Poole and Christchurch?+
Yes — Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Ferndown, Wimborne, Verwood, Highcliffe and surrounding Dorset.
