Christchurch has one of the highest proportions of established, mature gardens in our patch. Many BH23 properties were built before the 1970s and have decades-old hedges, fruit trees and beds that benefit far more from sensitive restoration than from being ripped out and started again. That's a big part of what we do here.

The town sits where the Stour and Avon meet, so a chunk of our Christchurch work is on damp, river-adjacent ground. That changes the spec — drainage routes, raised beds and the right choice of base for paving all matter more than they would on a free-draining plot. We've also done a lot of work in Burton, Mudeford and Friars Cliff where coastal conditions and clay pockets sit side by side.

Local gardening culture leans traditional — lawns, hedges, herbaceous borders — and we lean into that rather than fight it. Where homeowners want to bring a tired plot into the present, we'll usually combine a proper restoration of what's worth keeping with a fresh patio, planting refresh or new fencing to tie it together.
